What a week

Not that it is over yet I still have the weekend but I had alot of fun when I was in New York with Eddie, we really just hung out and enjoyed each others company. We also went on a really nice long walk around a trail it was about 5 miles all together and then I ofcourse had to enjoy the playground and eddie came along lol. Did you know that there are playgrounds with rock climbing walls!!! I was thrilled and even after a 5 mile walk in 90 degree weather I took full advantage of them.

Also my next few posts I think and am planning on being a May Favorite things and Whats in my purse then a packing post and then I am off for vacation!! I will try to post there but no garuntees.

The walk was alot of fun we even saw some goslings :) I was so excited Eddie was afraid the rather large father goose was going to chase us 

I ofcourse had to add the handsome Mr. Chester to my pictrues and the Top right is is the amazing sunset last night. Please ignore my bright red mouth also I had some gatorade and welp thats what happens when you drink red gatorade.

Its Starting to Feel Like Summer

As I sit here listening to Country Music with the sun shining through the back window I am so happy the rain has moved on and it is starting to really feel like summer is here! I am putting together a summer playlist and CD and getting ready to visit Eddie for a few days, so there are sure to be some adventures with the weather being nice and heading back to New York for a few relaxing days. 

I also hope everyone enjoyed their Memorial day and took a moment to think about those who are currently serving our country and those who have served us in the past. I really enjoyed the towns parade in the morning which was the perfect place for remembrance and honoring those who have served our country

My memorial day was very nice got to spend it with a lot of my family hanging out and bbqing my favorite dish which was actually on the healthy side was one that my mom it was a delicious tomato basil and mozzarella salad and compared to the endless potato salad, pasta salad, potato chips, taco dip ect. it was one of the better options to consumes ( while I will admit that I did indulge in some pasta salad because its one of my favorites). 

and finally I am so excited because I took some time to enjoy the sun although I regret the extent this morning because I am a bit burnt as you can see

My week In photos!

So the last week has been alot of fun and I decided that I would do a week in pictures kind of post and if I like it and things thenn I will continue to post them lol. Also just alittle heads up about what is going on in my life right now, I am graduating in about 3 weeks so I have finals and senior things so my next few weeks are going to be sufficiently hectic. Then right after graduation I will be getting my wisdom teeth pulled so I assume that I will be bed ridden and uncomfortable but I will try as hard as possible to keep my posts coming. After these hectic four weeks I will be having a summer free of school and hopefully I will find a summer job and then in the fall I am off to grad school so alot of big changes in my life and I am planning to carry this blog through out. So essentially I am excited and I plan on keeping up with my blog and posting regularly but there may be some weeks with only one or two posts compared to three or four on other weeks I just need to figure out my schedualing. 

 And here is my last week :)

DIY Photo Craft

So since I am moving back in to my parents house come May I decided to do alittle craft for our parting ways until we are stable enough to live together. So I thought I would paste pictures of us on to the first letter of each of our names and he would keep the S and I would keep the E. So now I am going to show you how I did it and what it came our like 

First thing first you will need are pictures I printed out some blac and white pictures of both of us in 3x3 on an 8x10 sheet of paper then I bought two wood letters from michaels they were about $3 each and lastly some modge podge and a spnge to apply the modge podge.... say modge podge five times fast I dare you!! lol 

Next step cut and lay out your pictures the way you want them just to kind of get an idea of where things are going I like to be organized so this helped me plan out my favoirte pictures and how they would fit 

On to modge podging I applied it to both the back of the pictures and a thin later on the actual wood I also applied it over the edges on top of the pictures when I put them down this just helped to make sure that no corners come up and it does dry clear so no worries however quick little think if you apply tooo much it may distort the color of the picture alittle which happened to a few of mine so make sure that you used thin layers of the modge podge the sponge soaks it up so even if it doesnt look it there is some glue on it 

My finished product!! I like the way the S came out much better because like I said some of the pictures on the E i used too much modge podge so I may end up re-doing it but I really love how it came out with the black and white and I love the layout of the pictures I used. 

Hope you enjoyed this quick little DIY and try it out whether for your kids your spouce or even with your sibling for your parents I think its a really great Idea!!
